What’s your favorite lake memory and what lake/waterbody?

As Minnesotan’s our lakes/waters are very special to us. In two sentences or less tell us a little about what you love about our lakes don’t forget to tell us what your favorite lake is also.

Many wonderful memories at the lake – summers at the lake with family and cousins from Indiana and the cities, making friends with other people on the lake, sharing the lake with friends for the cities, staying at the lake with grandma and grandpa while mom and dad went back to the cities to work, learning about the history of our family on the lake, fishing, learning how to waterski, long walks, listening to the loons, stars at night, bringing my son to the lake for the first time when he was 4 months old, swimming with my son, teaching him to waterski, watching him as he also learned to love the lake, just spending time at the lake and now watching my son, his wife, and my granddaughter live at and enjoy the lake. – All on Little Birch

I love all of the wild life that surrounds us on the lake. Seeing (and hearing) the loons call on the lake, the eagles catching a fish dinner the hoot owls late at night! Little Birch

When I was 12 years old my older brother let me go with him to watch him wakeboard with his friends. Then at the end of night he let me try it, I had so much fun that I still wakeboard as much as I can 17 years later. Lake Sylvia, Little Birch, Big Birch

I was very young perhaps 2-6 years old my family would do anything trips to park rapids and rent cabins at fish hook lake every labor day back in the late 80’s. Fond memories of fishing with now deceased family members.

Going to the cabin with grandma and grandpa on Thursdays for long weekends. Meeting my wife while wakeboarding. And taking my daughter for her first swim in the lake. All on Little Birch.
